Specialised Programs and Community Endeavours (SPACE) was created in Australia by music therapist Alissa Phillips. SPACE provides a place for young adults with autism to receive speech and language therapy and physiotherapy, while their parents and families can receive respite. Phillips, a music therapist by profession, has already begun Be Enriched and Together with Music (BEAT) "aimed at teaching social skills to young people with intellectual impairments and autism."
