News: Alabama's Spectrum Center Building Therapies for Children with Autism One Step at a Time

The first phase of Alabama's Spectrum Center for children with autism has recently opened and already plans are in place for phase 2. Right now, the center is able to offer applied behavior analysis (ABA) and speech therapies. Their goal is a 50,000 square foot facility that offers parent support, a resource library, and diagnostic and biomedical areas. Spectrum Center is the brain-child and hard work of Dr. Claude Ashley, a pediatrician with Southeastern Pediatric Associates in Dothan AL, who has a son with autism.
