Assisted Communication and Ice Hockey: A Gift for a Girl with Autism

"Hockey game," typed Bellie on her assisted communication device.  The California girl with autism wanted to go to a Kings ice hockey game. Bellie is non-verbal and has been using an AlphaSmart Neo laptop to communicate. Her social interactions have improved since being able to communicate her feelings. Bellie can tell her mother what she wants, why she is behaving a certain way, and most importantly how she feels. By the way, the Kings won.
