Cindy Bacot, mom of a child with autism, is opening the Bacot Academy for children with autism in time for the 2008/2009 school year. Bacot Academy is located in Lynn Haven, FL, in a 2,600 square foot freestanding building leased by an anonymous donor. The school will base intervention on applied behavior analysis (ABA), and utilize evidence-based therapies. Treatment will include speech therapy and occupational therapy (OT), and the multi-media software Switched On Schoolhouse.
