The Northwest School Division in Saskatchewan, Canada, began training parents, teachers, and others who work on a daily basis with children on the autism spectrum. The intervention focuses on applied behavior analysis (ABA) and includes children in the training sessions. Julie Saltuklaroglu, Site Director for Autism Partnership and Erin Bond, Program Coordinator, conducted much of the training, and hoped the knowledge gained would dispel some of the myths surrounding autism. The goal is to integrate the children with autism as completely as possible into everyday life.
