Monte Leister, working with SPEECH PATHways in Maryland, never planned to become a preschool rock star, but it happened with The Adventures of Boo! Radley CD. Leister was determined to make a music CD for children that "didn't drive people crazy." He had found most children's music to be patronizing and boring; so he began writing his own. Kim Bell, speech pathologist and founder of SPEECH PATHways has found that music therapy helps children develop speech and language skills, so she collaborated with Leister to bring his talents to children with autism and other developmental delays.
