Children with Autism Keep Active During the Summer

Concepts and Skills in Motion ensures that children with autism and other disabilities do not lose valuable skills during the summer months. This 8-year old program provides 150 New York kids the chance to keep up with treatments and therapies during the summer. Not only do the children indulge in play therapy, like swimming and sports, but they receive speech therapy, occupational therapy (OT), educational instruction, and social skills therapy. About 150 children participate in the partnership between Shenendehowa Central School District and the Clifton Park town recreation department.
