Creativity of Girl with Autism Sparks Book

Naiya, a little girl with autism, and her mother Nikki, trained in ABA by Parents of Autistic Children (POAC) in New Jersey, co-wrote "Thomas the Monster." Early intervention and a school, Minor Miracles, assisted Naiya with verbal, behavioral, and social skills. As she opened up, she spoke up about her imaginary friend, Thomas the Monster. Naiya told her mother stories about him and drew pictures of him - this became the book.
