The directors say, "For folks with cognitive, emotional, physical, and other special needs, the unique relationship formed with a horse can improve self-esteem, self awareness, confidence and communication skills. And clients with physical disabilities may improve their coordination, balance and flexibility." Increasingly therapists are seeing a special bond between horses and humans.
