There are places in the panhandle of Florida where parents can seek early intervention and other treatments for their children with autism, but there's not one place to get it all. Sacred Heart Hospital wants to be that center of excellence and to that end is seeking a behavior analyst to direct their efforts. The autism center will provide early intervention therapies for children, parent support, research opportunities for pediatricians, and professional training. The hope is that this "hub" will bring people from throughout the Southeast U.S. involved with autism treatment, and serve the needs of local parents and children.
