The Illinois Autism Training and Technical Assistance Project (IATTAP) is working with IL school teachers this summer to prepare them to work with autistic students during the school year. In IL, teachers are not required to have certification to work with students with autism like in some other states. The IATTAP is helping teachers to learn problem-solving skills and creativity in education methods to teach the children. Teachers also learn to design a more structured environment.
