The Homestead in Iowa received accreditation for their autism programming by CARF International. CARF’s accreditation gives The Homestead the ability to get additional Medicaid funding for autism services. Since 1994, The Homestead has focused on three main services for families with autism: 1) adult community services that provide adults with autism the opportunity to learn social and living skills; 2) youth community services that provide behavioral therapy to youngsters with autism; and 3) children’s autism project that provides ABA and social interaction to kids aged 3-8.
