Jamaican Early Intervention Program Has Profound Impact

Jamaica's Early Intervention Program, based in Kingston, has been serving children with autism for 30 years. Children from birth to six receive a developmental screening and an individual program consisting of needed therapies, for example speech therapy. There is a strong component of parental and caregiver support; they are taught how to continue the therapies at home.
