Service dogs, like the one used by the Clements family (Myrtle Beach, SC) for their children with autism, can increase a child's emotional, educational, and socialization skills. Their sons do well with speech therapy and occupational therapy, however, the bond between child and dog is something special. The child learns to deliver and the dog to respond to verbal and hand commands.
