Kids Learning Loft uses applied behavior analysis (ABA) to help teach social skills to children with autism. The NY facility, co-owned by Jennifer Kourassanis-Velasquez and Christine Saunier-Cinotti, integrates neuro-typical kids with the students with autism. Kids Learning Loft also stresses taking turns, eye contact, recognizing social cues, and expressing feelings. The Breakfast Club provides the opportunity to learn dining skills. In addition, the center holds a YogaABA course that teaches yoga combined with soothing music to teach different postures and calming breathing.
