Lekotek intervention, a mandatory component to the social welfare system in Sweden and Norway, has 32 play and learning centers throughout the United States. Lekotek is a program founded in Sweden by parents of children with disabilities and is based on the child's inclusion into family and community life using play therapy. The entire family is welcome at Lekotek centers, which provide books, toys, computers, and community-specific programming.
