Louisiana Mom Creates Autism Open Arms Foundation

Based on her own experience as mother of a child with autism, Angela Gachassin-Stokes has written a book and started Autism Open Arms Foundation. The Louisiana-based foundation will eventually provide a day camp, funds for autistic children to participate in sports, and parent-training workshops. She believes that play therapy and early intervention did wonders for her son and wants other s to share his experience and growth. Gachassin's dream is to create a school for children with autism so they don't have to attend special education classes.
