Music Lends Harmony to Children with Autism and Their Families

The Special Needs Family Music Class, in Greeley, Colorado, provides music therapy to kids with autism and other developmental disabilities. Providing scholarships to those families who are in financial need, the music class exists to provide these children with increased sensory integration, speech, gross motor skills, movement, and fun. Included in the fun are families who have found a community. One mother says, "The exercises, which range from clapping and singing to dancing and elementary musical instrumentation, are great for both my kids."
