Music Therapy Helps Teen with Autism Communicate

Evan Bertrand, who attends Hannah Moore School in Annapolis, MD, plays the piano to communicate with others. It brings joy to him and he understands that music brings joy to his fellow students and parents. Evan, a teen with autism, also received speech, occupational, and play therapies growing up. His music therapist says the piano allowed Evan to "engage in and with other people through improvisation and duets."
