The Schonowe Preschool in New York focuses on sensory integration therapy for their students with autism. While serving children with autism and other special needs for over 20 years, the preschool has taken steps to keep up with sensory integration disorders. Children receive intervention in the areas of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and even a therapy garden. They are assisted in developing age-appropriate motor skills and learn to interact with other children including those who attend the associated mainstream early learning center.
