Parents and Circle of Friends Create a Social Individual

Taylor Crowe, a young man with autism, recently graduated from Cal Arts. He and his father now have a program called "Growing Up With Autism" that they presented in Missouri. The Crowes, upon hearing their son's diagnosis, immediately set goals "focused on increasing normal social skills." Along with occupational and speech therapy, Taylor played youth baseball. His parents enlisted Taylor's classmates to help teach him how to handle various social situations. Taylor says, "I learned how to be a kid by being around other kids."
