News: Parents of Illinois Children Can Call Early Intervention Hotline for Assistance

Thursday, November 27, 2008 - 13:44

Children in Illinois are eligible for free early intervention screening for signs of autism and other developmental delays. The Early Intervention Hotline (800) 323-4769) will direct parents to the nearest testing facility. If delays are suspected, the child may receive treatment that includes: speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Charges for the therapies are on a sliding scale with most parents having to pay little or no fees.
