Parents Push for Autism Interventions for Grown Children

Parents in Northern Virginia have started planning and pushing for interventions that will assist their children with autism when they are older. Currently their children receive therapy at home and through the school system, but the parents worry about options when the children reach 21 years of age. Parents belonging to the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Autism Society of America are working for legislation that would provide more funds for support services, education, and group homes.
