Autism therapy can cost more than the average family's income. Many parents are opting to provide intervention at home for their children with autism. Some autism treatments require training, while others can be learned "on-the-job." There are therapies designed with parents in mind: floortime; RDI; and Son-Rise. Other treatments parents can provide include applied behavior analysis (ABA), sensory integration therapy, and social skills therapy.
