Paws and Effect Uses Agility Dogs to Help with Physical Therapy

Paws and Effect is collaborating with ChildServe in Iowa to offer therapy dogs to assist with physical therapy for children with autism and other disabilities. Paws and Effect matches each child at ChildServe with a service dog who acts as motivation for the child in their physical therapy sessions. When the child performs a certain movement correctly, the dog responds. "When I say 'cow,' Jesse jumps over my leg, said one of the 10 children currently participating in the program."
