School District in PA Offers Classroom Support to Kids with Autism

The Boyertown School District in PA recently added an autistic support classroom to its schools for kindergartners through second-graders with autism. The support classroom offers social skills, language skills, and importantly, a place where students can feel safe to try social interactions without judgment. The autism support classroom works in conjunction with mainstreaming so that children are able to interact and learn with their peers.
