Service Dog is Full Time Teacher in Indiana School

Martha, a service dog "employed" full time in an Indiana classroom, has a calming effect on many students including those with autism. Martha was trained and provided by the Indiana Canine Assistant Network and is one of five dogs working in classrooms. Brushing Martha becomes play therapy and a reward, reading to Martha increases speech skills, and Martha's presence provides focus.
