SMARTER, Brunei's first autism center received high marks from therapists and psychologists. The center provides a seamless transition from autism diagnosis and early intervention through mainstreaming and job training.
SMARTER therapists integrate many different types of therapy such as occupational therapy and management therapy. They utilize a communication adaptation program that encourages children with autism to interact with different every day environmental factors. Another non-profit group, Learning Ladders, has recently organized to provide more treatment options for children with autism in Brunei.
