The Lowcountry Autism Foundation in South Carolina is helping to send local kids with autism to surf camp. The non-profit Surfers Healing is coming from California to offer children a day-long opportunity to connect with water in a special way. Surfers Healing founder, Isreal Paskowitz discovered that surfing and water seem to help calm his autistic son. Surfing provides children a chance to increase social skills and learn a new skill, while at the same time giving their parents community involvement.
