SureSpeak, a Chicago company founded to help teach speech skills to executives, has found a new niche in the autism speech therapy arena. The online tool utilizes computers and webcams so that children with autism can practice speech, be video-taped, and then watch themselves. Dr. Sheryl Rosin at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders in Birmingham, MI says, "The kids are having a great response ... they naturally like using computers. They would almost rather interact with the computer versus people."
