Therapyware is the latest offering of the Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton. Therapyware is a toy store that caters to kids with autism and their families, and proceeds benefit Autism Services. Terri Duncan, the executive director explained, “Toys that are designed to help teach autistic kids are important, but often hard to find.” Therapyware fills a need for local families to find games and books designed specifically for their children. Before Therapyware, families often had to buy online and have toys shipped from the U.S. They couldn’t feel and see the actual item and shipping was extremely expensive.
