Visual Schedules Help with Classroom Structure

Ms. Wilson's classroom is the first to be outfitted entirely for children with autism at Apple Glen Elementary School in Arkansas. Her 7 kindergarten and 1st graders begin their day each checking their visual schedule for their first activity. They all receive occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy along with "sensory breaks" - activities specific to the child's needs.
