Will it Ever be Warm Enough for Aquatic Therapy?

Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan is home to a pediatric aquatic therapy program offered by the U.S. Naval Educational and Developmental Intervention Services. While the children with autism and other disabilities "play" in the swimming pool, their occupational therapist is actually helping them build muscle range and mobility. A side benefit is increased confidence and skin on skin bonding with their parents. The exercises provided by the therapists are ones that can be used by parents as well. Soon it will be warm enough to move to an outdoor pool!
