Body: * <p><!--StartFragment -->Last night I went to hear Dr. Temple Grandin speak. I now sit in awe. I took my 9 year old (mature) daughter and we both just loved the presentation. Dr. Grandin was plain spoken and forthright and brilliant. The talk was easy to listen to and was laugh-out-loud funny.<br /><br />Then I went home and slept on it and am sort of overwhelmed by all she had to say and the experience of hearing her speak. It caused a big shift in me and my understanding of what it means to be different and to make a difference. I thought I had sort of figured this stuff out, but I guess I still have a long way to go.<br /><br />I highly recommend her as a speaker. I also recommend her books. My daughter and I have only read a couple of chapters, but they are engaging and funny. (I do have a distinctive type of humor, so maybe not everyone else would be laughing as hard!)<br /></p><p>I know this post doesn&#39;t speak directly to therapy, but I have gone ahead and written it because I feel that it speaks to healing.</p>
