The Autism Research Program in Hong Kong is an example of a program that does research, teaching, and training in autism.

More than 98% of people in Hong Kong are Chinese. From the 1960s to 1980s most Hong Kong doctors had not heard of autism. This paper describes the University of Hong Kong's current Autism Research Program. Over the past 20 years, Hong Kong has slowly offered more therapy services for children with autism. The authors note that Hong Kong still has a long way to go in streamlining education services and intervention for children with autism.
