Article summary (posted Jan 10, 2008):

Parents and children can work together in group therapy to improve social skills in the children with autism.

Children with autism often have many social problems at school. The aim of this study was to see if group social therapy could help children with autism make and keep friends. The children learned social skills from the group therapy. Like most autism studies, this study did not have a control group. Another problem with the study is that the children did not always show up for the group therapy sessions.
