Layperson Summary:

College Living Experience helps kids with Asperger's go to college.

This article profiled a young woman with nonverbal learning disorder who started college at University of Denver but fell behind and couldn'€™t catch up. She left college because she had trouble adapting to new places and new people. Then she moved into the College Living Experience dormitory and started at the Community College of Denver. The College Living Experience was able to help her with the social parts of college so that she and other kids like her could focus on the learning part of college.
