Parent training programs can help children with autism and their parents have less stress and live easier lives.
This study was designed to test whether or not a structured parent training program can help children with autism. The authors found that the parent training program was easy to run. The parent training program could be run well at many sites using a written manual. Parents were also very pleased with the program. The RUPP Autism Network is doing more research on this program.
