The Illinois Autism Training and Technical Assistance Project is working with IL school teachers this summer to prepare them to work with autistic students during the school year. 

Bridges, based at Lincoln Elementary School in DeKalb, IL, will offer treatments directed at children with autism in a mainstreamed setting.

Flexibility

My son is now 10 years old. He is the youngest of 6 children. When he was born - any given day - one child or another would forget a practice a party or other such nonsense - sending any schedule we had right out the window. My husband travels extensively - has for 14 years now - so inflexibility just was not an option for us.
