Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) may help reduce anxiety in children with high-functioning autism.

It also found that CBT tended to decrease social fears and obsession-compulsion in the children. The children said that they were less anxious after the 16 CBT sessions. The authors suggest that CBT may be quite useful for children with high-functioning autism in Asian cultures. Read more...
